Your platform story

We are looking for your story! Tell us your experience with YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Uber, Deliveroo, Pornhub...

How do platforms matter in our everyday life? We are looking for your story! Tell us your experience with YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Uber, Deliveroo, Pornhub... On the 29th January 2019, we will discuss about platforms, politics and participation at our annual Privacy Camp. We wish to start with a session on everyday experiences and users’ stories.

We warmly invite individuals/people, civil society groups or community associations to share their stories about their experiences (good or bad) with a platform. We look forward to contributions in the format of a short talk or a show-&-tell demonstration. It can be anything – from specific content or an account being taken down, to the possibility to organize a (political) campaign, from your time as a food delivery professional to your participation in rights’ movements.

The Privacy Camp Organizing and Scientific Committees will select up to three stories based on how they resonate and further the themes of the event. If your submission is accepted, we will invite you to come to Brussels to share your experience with the audience of Privacy Camp. If you prefer to remain anonymous, we will still give you the possibility to attend the event in Brussels, but your story will be read by one of us. To submit your story, please fill in this template! Submissions in a different format will not be accepted.
