There will be an introduction of Dr. C. Abegg's ongoing project on human remains in Swiss institutions, regarding how human osteological collections are logistically, scientifically, ethically and legally managed and cared for. 

Dr. H. Blitte (Musée Cantonal d'Archéologie et d'Histoire, in Lausanne) will introduce the thematic of caring for human osteological collections, from the perspective of the Vaud cantonal system. 

Our experts in carbon dating (Dr. N. Steuri - Cambridge University), isotopic analyses (Dr. S. Neil - PACEA Bordeaux, Oxford University) and paleogenetics (Dr. M. Rivollat - PACEA Bordeaux) will then each present their research expertise in the light of data producing, data sharing, and long-term preservation of human remains in osteological collections. 

After each presentation, there will be time to ask questions and discuss with our experts, via a moderated chat. The event is informal; feel free to join for one or several presentations, we will be using the same link for the entire day.
