The European Commission has set out a very unsustainable course with its AI Continent Action Plan. They launched two public consultations running until June 4, 2025. We believe that these public consultations could be an opportunity to express concerns and promote demands that center planetary and social boundaries.

We plan to build on the joint statement 'Within Bounds: Limiting AI's environmental impact' and prepare a response to thepublic consultation on the Cloud and AI Development Act focusing on climate and environmental concerns, while challenging the broader framing and making structural arguments.
