INTERCEPTOR Training Schools - Norway (Oslo & Bergen)

The workshop and training schools, held at the University of Bergen and Oslo, Norway from May 5th to 11th, 2025, focuse on primary cell isolation and 3D step-wise models of oral carcinogenesis.

Organized by COST Action INTERCEPTOR (WG4: Preclinical and clinical research for the development of innovative preventive strategies), the training school aims to provide theoretical knowledge and practical training in isolating primary cells from normal and transformed/neoplastic human oral mucosa.

Participants will learn to establish 3D organotypic models for step-wise oral carcinogenesis, as well as techniques for harvesting these models and exploring downstream analysis options.

The school will host 12 participants in each location, including young researchers/lab technicians (from abroad), local trainers, and guest speakers.
