FMJH day-Maths CSI and Maths SV- 5 November

The “Maths du Calcul Scientifique et Ingénierie” (MathsCSI, Maths for Scientific Computing) and “Maths pour les Sciences du Vivant” (MSV, Maths for Life Sciences) programmes of the Fondation Mathématique Jacques Hadamard (FMJH), which federates  mathematics community across the Paris-Saclay area, are organising a day of meetings and presentations at the Institut des Hautes Etudes Scientifiques (IHES) on 5 November. 

The aim is to bring the scientific community together around these themes, within the FMJH perimeter, to highlight the theoretical and applied aspects of these two programmes, and to open up the event to Master 2 students with a link to these themes.

 Below is an initial outline of the programme.   A poster session is planned, as well as a Master 2 internship forum.

 

9:00 - Welcome

9:15 - (Short) presentation of FMJH

9h30-10h30 - Opening plenary session

10:30-11:00 - Coffee break and poster session

11h00-12h15 - Thematic session 1 (MSV and MathCSI in parallel)

12h15-13h45 - Lunch and presentation of internships

13h45-15h00 - Thematic session 2 (MSV and MathCSI in parallel)

15h00-15h30 - Coffee break and poster session

15h30-16h30 - Closing plenary session

16h30-16h45 - Conclusions & closing of the day

If you are M2 student inside FMJH perimeter (Univ Paris Saclay or Inst. Polytechnique Paris), please precise here your M2.
Inscription is free but mandatory. An email will be sent to you to confirm/validate your registration.
If you are willing to bring and present a poster, please propose the subject here (title and a few lines of description) and specify your current position.
If you are interested in posting an internship and meeting M2 students (in connection with the Maths for Scientific Computing and Maths for Life Sciences topics) , please feel free to post it here
