The bureau des doctorants et étudiants du Muséum (BDEM) and the direction de l’enseignement et de la formation (DIREF) are organising this year the first Congrès des Jeunes Chercheur·e·s du Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle (CJCM).
As its name suggests, this scientific meeting offers young researchers the opportunity to share their research results during oral presentations in a convivial setting. This congress is also the opportunity to make the diversity of research themes addressed within the institution known to a broader audience (researchers, students and other museum staff).
Concretely, the congress will take place this year on May 6 and 7 online. Young researchers will present their results in three thematic sessions organised around the research departments of the MNHN (i.e. Humans and Environment, Origins and Evolution, Adaptations of Life forms).
Two types of presentation are planned:
- long communication (10 minutes)
- short communication (3 minutes, 1 slide, on the model of "Three Minute Thesis")
Masters students, PhD students, postdoctoral fellows or others who wish to make a presentation are invited to respond to the call for participation by filling out this form by April 9th included.
PS: Presenters encountering "logistical" difficulties will be offered assistance in the Jardin des plantes.
