بيان دعم إلى المهدي اليوبي من الأوساط الفنية المغربية والدولية

تم اعتقال المخرج المغربي يوم الاثنين 13 يوليوز بمقر الفرقة الوطنية للشرطة القضائية بالدار البيضاء. نطالب بإطلاق سراحه فورا.

نحن، فنانون وفنانات، وموسيقيون وموسيقيات، ومهنيو ومهنيات السينما، نوجه هذا البيان للمطالبة بالإطلاق الفوري لسراح المهدي اليوبي، الفنان المغربي المعتقل تعسفيا منذ 10 يوليوز 2026.

المهدي اليوبي مخرج وموسيقي مغربي، ازداد سنة 1992 بمدينة سلا، ويقيم بمارسيليا منذ سنة 2017. تكوّن بمدرسة لافيميس (La Fémis)، وله مسيرة سينمائية منذ عدة سنوات. يشتغل حاليا على أول فيلم وثائقي طويل له يتناول موضوعي حرية التعبير والرغبة في خلق الفن. وفي سنة 2025، تم اختيار مشروعه الوثائقي من طرف الصندوق العربي للثقافة والفنون (آفاق - AFAC).

معروف في الساحة الموسيقية المغربية باسمه الفني «بلاك ويند» (Black Wind)، يحمل منذ سنوات 2010 مسارا فنيا ملتزما بقضايا العدالة الاجتماعية، واللامساواة، وحرية التعبير. وفي شتنبر 2025، صعد خشبة مهرجان البولفار بالدار البيضاء أمام أزيد من 50 ألف متفرج.

يوم 10 يوليوز 2026، وبينما كان يستعد للعودة إلى مارسيليا بعد إقامة خصصها لإنجاز فيلمه الوثائقي، تم إيقاف المهدي في صالة الركوب بمطار الرباط-سلا، وأُعلم، دون أي مبرر، بمنعه من مغادرة التراب الوطني. وبعد استدعائه يوم 13 يوليوز من طرف الفرقة الوطنية للشرطة القضائية بالدار البيضاء، وُضع رهن الحراسة النظرية. ولم يعلم المقربون منه إلا متأخرين أن اعتقاله قد يكون مرتبطا بمنشورات على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي. وإلى حدود اليوم، لا تزال التهم الموجهة إليه مجهولة.

هذا الاعتقال ليس حالة معزولة. فمنذ عدة سنوات، وبشكل متصاعد منذ حركة “جيل زد”، تعمل السلطات المغربية على قمع الأصوات الناقدة: أزيد من 1000 شخص تم اعتقالهم، والبعض منهم حُكم عليه بعقوبات وصلت إلى خمسة عشر عاما سجنا. وفي فبراير 2026، تم اعتقال موزعة الأفلام زينب خروبي بمطار مراكش، قبل أن تُحكم عليها غيابيا بستة أشهر سجنا موقوفة التنفيذ. مناضلون ومناضلات، صحفيون وصحفيات، فنانون وفنانات: نفس المنطق القمعي يستهدف بشكل خاص من يجرؤون على فضح تجاوزات الحكومة.

إن حرية الخلق والاحتجاج والنقد أمر لا غنى عنه للدور الاجتماعي والسياسي للفن. وباسم الأوساط الفنية والموسيقية والسينمائية المغربية، المدعومة دوليا، ندين هذه الإجراءات العقابية.

وأمام هذا الاعتقال التعسفي، نطالب بالإطلاق الفوري وغير المشروط لسراح المهدي اليوبي.

 
Tribune de soutien à El Mahdi Lyoubi de la communauté artistique marocaine et internationale

Nous, artistes, musicien.nes et professionnel.les du cinéma vous adressons cette tribune pour exiger la libération immédiate de El Mahdi Lyoubi, artiste marocain arbitrairement détenu depuis le 10 juillet 2026.
El Mahdi Lyoubi est réalisateur et musicien marocain. Né en 1992 à Salé et installé à Marseille depuis 2017, formé notamment à la FEMIS, il a une carrière cinématographique depuis plusieurs années. Il  travaille actuellement sur son premier long-métrage documentaire qui aborde les thèmes de la liberté d'expression et de la volonté de créer de l'art. En 2025, son projet documentaire est sélectionné par le Fonds arabe pour les arts et la culture (AFAC). 

Connu sur la scène musicale marocaine sous le nom de Mehdi Black Wind, il porte depuis les années 2010 une œuvre engagée sur la justice sociale, les inégalités et la liberté d'expression. En septembre 2025, il se produisait au festival L'Boulevard de Casablanca devant plus de 50 000 personnes.

Le 10 juillet 2026, alors qu'il s'apprêtait à regagner Marseille après un séjour consacré à son documentaire, El Mahdi a été interpellé en salle d'embarquement de l'aéroport de Rabat-Salé et informé, sans aucun motif, d'une interdiction de quitter le territoire. Convoqué le 13 juillet par la police judiciaire de Casablanca, il a été placé en garde à vue. Ses proches n'ont appris que tardivement que son arrestation serait liée à des publications sur les réseaux sociaux. À ce jour, les chefs d'inculpation demeurent inconnus.

Cette arrestation n'est pas un cas isolé. Depuis plusieurs années, et de manière intensifiée depuis le mouvement Gen Z, les autorités marocaines répriment les voix critiques : plus de 1 000 personnes incarcérées, certaines condamnées à des peines allant jusqu'à quinze ans de prison. En février 2026, la distributrice de films Zineb Kharroubi était arrêtée à l'aéroport de Marrakech, puis condamnée en son absence à six mois de prison avec sursis. Militant.e.x.s, journalistes, artistes : la même logique répressive vise particulièrement celles et ceux qui dénoncent les abus du gouvernement.

La liberté de créer, de contester et de critiquer est indispensable au rôle social et politique de l'art.  Au nom de la communauté artistique, musicale et cinématographique marocaine soutenue à l’internationale, nous dénonçons ces mesures punitives.

 An Open Letter of Support for El Mahdi Lyoubi from the Moroccan and International Artistic Community

For the Immediate Release of El Mahdi

We, artists, musicians, and film professionals, are writing this open letter to demand the immediate release of El Mahdi Lyoubi, a Moroccan artist who has been arbitrarily detained since July 10, 2026. El Mahdi Lyoubi is a Moroccan filmmaker and musician. Born in 1992 in Salé and based in Marseille since 2017, he trained at FEMIS, among other institutions, and has been pursuing a career in film for several years. He is currently working on his first feature-length documentary, which explores the themes of freedom of expression and the desire to create art. In 2025, his documentary project was selected by the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC). 

Known on the Moroccan music scene as Mehdi Black Wind, he has been creating music that addresses social justice, inequality, and freedom of expression since the 2010s. In September 2025, he performed at the L'Boulevard festival in Casablanca in front of more than 50,000 people.

On July 10, 2026, as he was preparing to return to Marseille after a trip dedicated to his documentary, El Mahdi was detained in the departure lounge at Rabat-Salé Airport and informed, without any reason given, that he was barred from leaving the country. Summoned on July 13 by the Casablanca judicial police, he was taken into custody. It was not until later that his family and friends learned that his arrest was linked to posts on social media. To date, the charges against him remain unknown.

This arrest is not an isolated incident. For several years now—and with increasing intensity since the Gen Z movement—Moroccan authorities have been cracking down on critical voices: more than 1,000 people have been imprisoned, some sentenced to up to fifteen years in prison.  In February 2026, film distributor Zineb Kharroubi was arrested at the Marrakech airport and later sentenced in absentia to a six-month suspended prison term. Activists, journalists, artists: this same repressive approach specifically targets those who speak out against government abuses.

The freedom to create, challenge, and criticize is essential to art’s social and political role. On behalf of the Moroccan artistic, musical, and film communities—which enjoy international support—we condemn these punitive measures.

In light of this unjustified arrest, we demand the immediate and unconditional release of El Mahdi Lyoubi
