Ambassador Form (1-5 species submitted)

Please use this form to submit the names of marine eukaryotic species from the French EEZ that are of interest to you, and that you would like ATLASea to consider for genome sequencing. If you have access to live specimen, ATLASea can cover the cost associated with shipping samples to Genoscope and the Museum national d’Histoire naturelle. If you do not have access to live specimen, ATLASea may sample a specimen as part of its sampling missions.

Here is a summary of the typical procedure that will take place:

• Fill the form as completely as possible. If mandatory questions are not answered, the submission may not be considered at all.
• The submission is reviewed by the ATLASea Species Selection Committee, generally within one month.
• If the submission is accepted and:
• …you have access to samples, you may start sampling according to ATLASea SOPs. This will generally involve the following steps: taxonomic identification, photographing the specimen live with labels provided by ATLASea, flash freezing tissues to be sent to Genoscope, and preserving a sample for a voucher to be sent to the MNHN.
• …you do not have access to samples, ATLASea will make every effort to sample this species as part of its planned missions.

The data collected in this questionnaire will be used for the collection of samples from marine organisms, with the view of sequencing their genome to reference quality standards by the ATLASea programme. Your responses will remain confidential and will not be shared with unauthorised third parties. Participation is voluntary, and you may choose to stop or withdraw your consent at any time. Your data will be stored securely and retained for the duration of the ATLASea programme before being deleted.
